Yocona River
Pronounced “yaakni,” this river’s name is Chickasaw for “land.” It is one of the most picturesque places in the fall. Depending on the season and water level, when "fishing is good," it is not uncommon to see a mass of blue herons or egrets along the banks and in the trees.
